The four steps used to convert 435 from octal to hexadecimal are explained below.

Step 1)

Now we divide the sum from Step 2 by 16. Put the remainder aside. Then divide the whole part by 16 again, and put the remainder aside again. Keep doing this until the whole part is 0. (Also, replace remainders if need be: 10=A, 11=B, 12=C, 13=D, 14=E, and 15=F).

285 ÷ 16 = 17 with D remainder
17 ÷ 16 = 1 with 1 remainder
1 ÷ 16 = 0 with 1 remainder

Step 4)
In the final step, we take the remainders from Step 3 and put them together in reverse order to get our answer to 435 octal to hexadecimal:

435 octal = 11D hexadecimal
