Now we divide the sum from Step 2 by 8. Put the remainder aside. Then divide the whole part by 8 again, and put the remainder aside again. Keep doing this until the whole part is 0.

61711 ÷ 8 = 7713 with 7 remainder
7713 ÷ 8 = 964 with 1 remainder
964 ÷ 8 = 120 with 4 remainder
120 ÷ 8 = 15 with 0 remainder
15 ÷ 8 = 1 with 7 remainder
1 ÷ 8 = 0 with 1 remainder

Step 4)
In the final step, we take the remainders from Step 3 and put them together in reverse order to get our answer to F10F hexadecimal to octal:

F10F hexadecimal = 170417 octal
