60538 ÷ 8 = 7567 with 2 remainder
7567 ÷ 8 = 945 with 7 remainder
945 ÷ 8 = 118 with 1 remainder
118 ÷ 8 = 14 with 6 remainder
14 ÷ 8 = 1 with 6 remainder
1 ÷ 8 = 0 with 1 remainder

Step 4)
In the final step, we take the remainders from Step 3 and put them together in reverse order to get our answer to EC7A hexadecimal to octal:

EC7A hexadecimal = 166172 octal
