55298 ÷ 8 = 6912 with 2 remainder
6912 ÷ 8 = 864 with 0 remainder
864 ÷ 8 = 108 with 0 remainder
108 ÷ 8 = 13 with 4 remainder
13 ÷ 8 = 1 with 5 remainder
1 ÷ 8 = 0 with 1 remainder

Step 4)
In the final step, we take the remainders from Step 3 and put them together in reverse order to get our answer to D802 hexadecimal to octal:
