Now we divide the sum from Step 2 by 8. Put the remainder aside. Then divide the whole part by 8 again, and put the remainder aside again. Keep doing this until the whole part is 0.

50394 ÷ 8 = 6299 with 2 remainder
6299 ÷ 8 = 787 with 3 remainder
787 ÷ 8 = 98 with 3 remainder
98 ÷ 8 = 12 with 2 remainder
12 ÷ 8 = 1 with 4 remainder
1 ÷ 8 = 0 with 1 remainder

Step 4)
In the final step, we take the remainders from Step 3 and put them together in reverse order to get our answer to C4DA hexadecimal to octal:

C4DA hexadecimal = 142332 octal
