28586 ÷ 8 = 3573 with 2 remainder
3573 ÷ 8 = 446 with 5 remainder
446 ÷ 8 = 55 with 6 remainder
55 ÷ 8 = 6 with 7 remainder
6 ÷ 8 = 0 with 6 remainder

Step 4)
In the final step, we take the remainders from Step 3 and put them together in reverse order to get our answer to 6FAA hexadecimal to octal:
